Flag Football Game Preview: Marana Tigers vs. Crismon Rattlers

Two dominant signal callers in Isabella Garcia and Carlee Morse are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Marana Tigers will take on the Crismon Rattlers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Marana is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Marana had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 51-point drubbing they dealt Tucson High Magnet School on Thursday. The Tigers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 51-0 victory over the Badgers. That 51 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Sophia Silverstein had an outrageously good game as she picked up 119 receiving yards and three scores. She also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making one tackle.

Marana's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Alyssa Valencia with two sacks.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Crismon was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. The contest between the Rattlers and Eastmark didn't end well, with the Rattlers falling 16-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Rattlers were not able to get on the board.

Crismon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Skylar DaCosta led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Alyssa Dozhier was another major factor on D, making 12 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Marana's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Crismon, their loss dropped their record down to 6-1.
