Basketball Recap: Lebanon Comes Up Short

If Lebanon was riding high fresh off their 55-34 takedown of Richlands last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lebanon Pioneers fell to the John Battle Trojans 39-33. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Trojans are ranked 136th).

Lebanon's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for John Battle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lebanon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for John Battle, they will welcome Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
