Baseball Recap: Ravenscroft Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Ravenscroft's offense. They fell 3-0 to the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-1 last Tuesday.

Will Eichler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Ravenscroft's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Ravenscroft didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-4 win against South Wake on the 28th. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 5-2 loss against J.H. Rose on the 28th.
