Basketball Game Preview: Frederick Gunn Highlanders vs. Greenwich Country Day Tigers

The Frederick Gunn Highlanders will head out to face off against the Greenwich Country Day Tigers at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Frederick Gunn is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.

Last Wednesday, Frederick Gunn came up short against Millbrook School and fell 55-44. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frederick Gunn's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jah Reaves, who posted seven points along with ten boards and four steals, and Justin Robinson, who earned 17 points. Those four steals gave Reaves a new career-high. Langston Woods was another key player, putting up ten points.

Meanwhile, Greenwich Country Day got the win against St. Luke's back in January by a conclusive 76-55.

Greenwich Country Day now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Frederick Gunn, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Frederick Gunn barely slipped by Greenwich Country Day in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, winning 72-71. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frederick Gunn since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
