Soccer Recap: Gloucester Takes a Loss

Gloucester managed to keep up with Peabody Veterans Memorial until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Fishermen came up short against the Tanners, falling 3-0. Gloucester just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Gloucester's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, they moved to 3-4 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Gloucester will face off against Winthrop at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Gloucester will be up against Winthrop's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.14 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, they will challenge Beverly at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
