Basketball Game Preview: Thrasher Rebels vs. Wheeler Eagles

The Thrasher Rebels will square off against the Wheeler Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Thrasher is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Falkner by a score of 52-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Meanwhile, Wheeler entered their tilt with Hickory Flat on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 45-37 win over the Rebels. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Rebels are ranked 206th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Thrasher better keep an eye on Macie Arnold. She was instrumental in Wheeler's win, putting up 14 points along with eight steals and six rebounds. Arnold has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Camryn Sanford, who posted seven points.

Thrasher's victory bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Wheeler, their win bumped their record up to 20-12.
