Basketball Game Preview: Rochelle Hubs vs. Richmond-Burton Rockets

The Rochelle Hubs will take on the Richmond-Burton Rockets in a holiday battle at at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Rochelle came up short against Kaneland on Friday, falling 62-36. The defeat continues a trend for the Hubs in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Richmond-Burton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They managed a 52-47 victory over the Blue Streaks. The 52-point effort marked the Rockets' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Richmond-Burton's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.9 points. As for Rochelle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Rochelle took their victory against Richmond-Burton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 74-54. Does Rochelle have another victory up their sleeve, or will Richmond-Burton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
