Basketball Game Preview: North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers vs. Pensacola Catholic Crusaders

The North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers will face off against the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are out to turn their luck around after having lost tight contests in their previous games.

North Bay Haven Academy easily dispatched Altha on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. North Bay Haven Academy fell just short of Maclay by a score of 46-44 on Saturday. The Buccaneers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

North Bay Haven Academy might have lost, but man, Kaylee Goodpaster was a machine: she went 12 for 25 on her way to 34 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The contest was Goodpaster's sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Meanwhile, Pensacola Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Navarre on Friday and fell 43-41. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

North Bay Haven Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9. As for Pensacola Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.

North Bay Haven Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Pensacola Catholic in their previous meeting back in February of 2019, winning 47-37. Will North Bay Haven Academy repeat their success, or does Pensacola Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
