Softball Recap: Magee Takes a Loss

Magee lost against Jefferson Davis County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trojans came up short against the Jaguars, falling 16-2. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zylynda Funches made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Magee's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Jefferson Davis County, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Magee will take on Forest at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bearcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.16 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jefferson Davis County, they will host Forrest County Agricultural at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
