Fairport has gone 8-2 against Penfield recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Red Raiders will square off against the Patriots at 5:00 p.m.

Things were looking good for Fairport after they put the first run on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fayetteville-Manlius. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leila Hernandez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on nine hits.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Penfield). They put the hurt on Greece Odyssey with a sharp 18-3 victory on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.

Fairport's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Penfield, the victory also got them back to even at 5-5.

Everything went Fairport's way against Penfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Fairport made off with an 11-3 win. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
