After having lost a blowout in their previous game against A&M Consolidated, Montgomery was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Rudder Rangers as Montgomery made off with a 10-1 win. The Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Montgomery's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Rudder, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Montgomery and Rudder could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Montgomery will square off against Lake Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday down 150 places (151 vs. 1). Meanwhile, Rudder (ranked 627th) will meet Huntsville (ranked 293rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
