Soccer Recap: Taft Comes Up Short

Taft lost against Warren back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Taft Raiders fell just short of the Warren Warriors by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 625th, while the Warriors are ranked 129th).

Taft has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. Warren is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, Taft and Warren will both be playing Sotomayor the next time they take the pitch. Taft will host Sotomayor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while Warren will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on March 5th.
