Baseball Recap: Northview Triumphs

Northview won the last time they faced Laguna Hills and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Vikings won by a run and slipped past the Hawks 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since March 10th.

Joseph Boone looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Michael Mendoza, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Jayden Chagollan was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Northview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Northview's record now sits at 9-11. As for Laguna Hills, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
