Soccer Game Preview: Shadow Hills vs. La Quinta

Shadow Hills is 1-8-1 against La Quinta since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Shadow Hills Knights will head out on the road to take on the La Quinta Blackhawks at 5:30 p.m. Shadow Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.9 goals per game this season.

Shadow Hills had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least four goals, but Rancho Mirage put an end to it on Wednesday. Shadow Hills took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rancho Mirage. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Knights couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Gabriel Reyna, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, La Quinta kept a clean sheet against Xavier Prep on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Saints. The result was nothing new for the Blackhawks, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Shadow Hills' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 9-3-1. As for La Quinta, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1.
