Baseball Recap: East Ridge Comes Up Short

East Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the South Lake Eagles, falling 13-2. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by exactly 11 runs.

East Ridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matthew Dewoody, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Dewoody's first of the season.

East Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for South Lake, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.

Looking ahead, East Ridge will challenge Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Ridge has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for South Lake, they will head out on the road to take on Umatilla at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Lake is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
