Basketball Recap: Genoa Area Piles Up the Points Against Oak Harbor

Genoa Area put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Oak Harbor Rockets to the tune of 66-38. Fans of the Comets have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Genoa Area pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Oak Harbor, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Genoa Area won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Columbian at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Genoa Area knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Columbian likes a good challenge. As for Oak Harbor, they will be home for the holidays to greet Maumee at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
