Softball Recap: Townsend Harris Has No Trouble Against Van Buren

While Townsend Harris put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Van Buren. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over the Vee Bees. Considering the Hawks have won six matches by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Townsend Harris is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.4 runs over those games. As for Van Buren, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Coming up, Townsend Harris will face off against Beach Channel at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Van Buren, they will venture away from home to face off against Metropolitan at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
