Basketball Recap: Depaul College Prep Takes Down Westinghouse in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but DePaul College Prep had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 68-41 victory over the Westinghouse Warriors. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 23 points or more this season.

DePaul College Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaitlin Totaro, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Totaro has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Ava Giordano, who put up 12 points and four steals.

DePaul College Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They are 15-5 when they've passed the ball that well.

The victory made it two in a row for DePaul College Prep and bumps their season record up to 19-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.0 points over those games. As for Westinghouse, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-14.

DePaul College Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 54-49 win against Glenbard South on the 25th. Westinghouse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
