Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 44-27 bruising from the Prout Crusaders. The Kilties were not able to make up for their loss to the Crusaders from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Seneca Fielding was the offensive standout of the contest as she posted six points.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Prout, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Mt. Pleasant will welcome Lincoln School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln School will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Mt. Pleasant surely won't give up without a fight. As for Prout, they will head out to face off against North Providence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Providence is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season.
