Baseball Game Preview: Lennard Longhorns vs. Palmetto Tigers

The Lennard Longhorns will face off against the Palmetto Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lennard came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, falling 12-4. The Longhorns' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Aj Aikens was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Palmetto lost 14-4 to Parrish Community on Thursday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bulls recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Blake Willis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Lennard, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Lennard came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmetto in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Longhorns repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
