Volleyball Recap: Amity Regional Comes Up Short

Amity Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Joseph Cadets.

While Amity Regional had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 25-23.

Jonah Konezny paced Amity Regional's offense, picking up 11 kills. Konezny got some help from Griffin Davies and his 28 assists. Konezny was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Amity Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Joseph, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Amity Regional didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hand on the 14th. As for St. Joseph, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Maloney on the 14th.
