Softball Recap: Rosman Has No Trouble Against Murphy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Madison, Rosman was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Murphy Bulldogs with a sharp 10-3 victory. The Tigers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1st.

Olivia Zuccala was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Rosman got a massive performance out of Blaikley Zuccala, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Zuccala also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Jolie Reid, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Rosman's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Murphy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Rosman has already played their next match, a 4-3 victory against Avery County on the 1st. As for Murphy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 win against Tellico Plains on the 27th.
