Basketball Game Preview: Kosciusko Whippets vs. Leake Central Gators

The Kosciusko Whippets will face off against the Leake Central Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kosciusko is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Kosciusko against St. Joseph Catholic as the squad secured a 54-20 win. The Whippets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Leake Central lost 62-42 to Clinton on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Arrows are ranked 19th).

Kosciusko has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.8 points. As for Leake Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
