Volleyball Game Preview: Gray Stone Day Knights vs. Highland Tech Rams

The Gray Stone Day Knights will head out to square off against the Highland Tech Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland Tech took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Gray Stone Day, who comes in off a win.

Gray Stone Day is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Corvian Community.

Meanwhile, Highland Tech entered their match against East Gaston on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rams fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2.

Highland Tech actually scored more points across those five sets (102-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-19, 11-25, 15-10.

Highland Tech's loss dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Gray Stone Day, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Gray Stone Day suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Highland Tech when the teams last played back in October of 2023. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
