Baseball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

While it was Independence who put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, it was St. Albans who put up more. The Patriots fell 11-6 to the Red Dragons.

Independence saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Cunningham, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1. As for St. Albans, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Independence will challenge Sissonville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The last six games the Indians have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for St. Albans, they are taking a road trip to face off against George Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
