Baseball Game Preview: Hackettstown Tigers vs. Jefferson Township Falcons

For the second straight game, Hackettstown will face off against Jefferson Township. The Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hackettstown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Hackettstown needed a bit of extra time to put away Jefferson Township. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Falcons, sneaking past 4-3.

Aaron Wolderich spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hackettstown's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Marcos Rosado, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hackettstown's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson Township, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7.
