Basketball Recap: Northern Durham Takes a Loss

Northern Durham was the 59-53 winner over Cedar Ridge when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Northern Durham Knights took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cedar Ridge Fighting Red Wolves.

Cedar Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braeden Wilbourn out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Jordan Jacobson was another key player, putting up 16 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Northern Durham has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Cedar Ridge, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Northern Durham will welcome South Granville at 8:00 p.m. on December 20th. As for Cedar Ridge, they will head out to square off against Chatham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
