Baseball Recap: Tellico Plains Takes a Loss

Tellico Plains lost against Meigs County last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Tellico Plains came up short against Meigs County, falling 7-1. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tellico Plains saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daren McJunkin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Tellico Plains has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. The victory keeps Meigs County at an undefeated 8-0.

Tellico Plains wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Hiwassee Dam on the 20th. As for Meigs County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Midway on the 19th.
