Basketball Recap: Claremont Takes a Loss

Claremont was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Roosevelt Mustangs, falling 78-43. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolfpack of the 73-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2019.

Several Wolfpack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nolan Zitar, who went 6-for-10 en route to 12 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Aaron Gapo, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 12 points.

Claremont's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Claremont won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against University at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Roosevelt, they will face off against Long Beach Poly at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
