Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Mackenzie Means and Kelsea Baer Lead Spring Valley to Victory

Spring Valley not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Amplus Academy Archers. The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Archers: they've now won seven in a row.

While Spring Valley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 26-24.

Leading Spring Valley to victory were Kelsea Baer and Mackenzie Means. Baer had 11 digs and five assists, while Means had 13 assists and four digs. Means has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last four times she's played.

Spring Valley was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 18 consecutive contests.

Spring Valley's record is now 16-11. As for Amplus Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.
