Wando faced Lucy Beckham in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Warriors won by a set and slipped past the Bengals 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on five straight.

Wando got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 21-25, 30-28.

Akhil Jamariya paced Wando's offense, picking up 12 kills. Jamariya got some help from Henry Seibert and his 36 assists. Ashton Eckhardt controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

When it comes to explaining why Lucy Beckham lost, don't look at Adam Rasgo. Despite the final result, he had 22 assists and 11 digs.

Wando's victory bumped their record up to 12-2-1. As for Lucy Beckham, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight matches and leaves them with a 13-3 record.
