Softball Recap: Silver Creek Dragons vs. Salem Lions        
        
		
            
 In what's become a running theme this season, Silver Creek gave their fans yet another huge  win on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Salem Lions with a sharp  15-1 victory. Winning may never get old, but Silver Creek sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
  Kennedy Caudill and  Tessa Gibson were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing,  Caudill   struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile,  Gibson   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At the plate,  Caudill  got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  RBI and a  double, while  Gibson  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Reese Decker was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-2.  Kaitlyn Whitlock was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Silver Creek is  on a roll lately: they've  won 17 of their last 18 matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record  this season. As for Salem,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-11.
 Silver Creek will be playing in front of their home fans against Floyd Central at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Salem, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Orleans at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Orleans will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  runs each  match than the last.
