Denair had won four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 4-1 to make it five. They took down the Stone Ridge Christian Knights 36-21. For the Coyotes, this counts as revenge for the 35-15 victory the Knights walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

As for Stone Ridge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Stone Ridge Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tj Mathews, who rushed for 102 yards and one TD on only seven carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Daijon Oneil was another key pass catcher, gaining 119 total yards and a touchdown.

Coming up, Denair will challenge Gustine at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Stone Ridge Christian, they will host Delhi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
