Hozho Academy had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They never let the Navajo Pine Warriors get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by nine runs or more this season.

Keihin Kirk and Philip Elkins did most of the damage at the plate: Kirk went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base, while Elkins went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Kirk has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Epraim Otero, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Hozho Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Navajo Pine only posted an OBP of .231.

Hozho Academy's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Navajo Pine, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

Coming up, Hozho Academy will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Navajo Pine, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-1 defeat against Wingate on the 17th.
