Recap: Socastee Braves vs. Conway Tigers
The Socastee Braves were the 43-25 winner over the Conway Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Socastee took a 45-26 bruising from Conway on Tuesday. Socastee just can't catch a break and has now endured four defeats in a row.
Anna Reese Pratt and Princess Collins certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Pratt dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds, while Collins scored six points along with five steals and three blocks. That's the first time this season that Collins posted two or more blocks.
Socastee's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Conway, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Socastee will take on Carolina Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carolina Forest presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Socastee in South Carolina (Carolina Forest is ranked 41st, while Socastee is ranked 145th). As for Conway, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Mullins at 4:00 p.m.
