Softball Recap: Alief Hastings Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Alief Hastings's offense. They lost 17-0 to the Fulshear Chargers on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Alief Hastings' loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Fulshear, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alief Hastings will venture away from home to square off against Foster at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fulshear, they will head out to challenge Alief Elsik at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alief Elsik has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.82 runs per game on average), something Fulshear will no doubt try to take advantage of.
