Volleyball Recap: Sterling Heights Stevenson Comes Up Short

Sterling Heights Stevenson kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Croswell-Lexington Pioneers. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Sterling Heights Stevenson's offense was headlined by Addyson Thompson and Sienna Baker, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Genevieve Baker and her three assists.

Croswell-Lexington was led to victory by Amaya Torrez and Rozlynn Cayce. Torrez had 14 assists, while Cayce had three digs. That's the most assists Torrez has posted since back in August of 2024.

Sterling Heights Stevenson has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Port Huron on the 20th. As for Croswell-Lexington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against L'Anse Creuse on the 20th.
