The Maranatha Minutemen will challenge the Northview Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Maranatha beat Brea Olinda 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Minutemen.

Bradley Loiacono and Dylan Hoang dominated on the mound. Loiacono pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Hoang pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Loiacono has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Trevor Rivas was a standout: he scored a run while going 3-for-4. Lukus Perez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Maranatha was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Northview came up short against Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday and fell 5-2.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-1. As for Maranatha, their win bumped their record up to 2-3-1.
