Basketball Game Preview: Danville Little Johns vs. Mountainburg Dragons

Danville and Mountainburg are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Danville Little Johns will head out on the road to square off against the Mountainburg Dragons at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.

Danville is headed into Friday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They lost to Hackett on the road by a 65-47 margin on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Mountainburg waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Rebels 59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Dragons have posted since November 12, 2024.

Danville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Mountainburg, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Everything went Danville's way against Mountainburg in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, as Danville made off with a 59-34 victory. Will Danville repeat their success, or does Mountainburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
