Baseball Game Preview: Trinity Academy Tigers vs. GRACE Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, Trinity Academy will face off against GRACE Christian. The Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Trinity Academy has three straight wins, GRACE Christian has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Trinity Academy proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 12) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against GRACE Christian, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 24, 2025.

Jacob Bondy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Trinity Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-10 otherwise.

Trinity Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .393 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Trinity Academy's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 3-10. As for GRACE Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
