Volleyball Recap: South Webster Jeeps vs. Adena Warriors
After flying high against Southeastern on Thursday, South Webster came back down to earth. The Jeeps fell 3-1 to the Adena Warriors on Saturday. The Jeeps were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
South Webster started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 25-20, 25-18.
Addi Claxon paced South Webster's offense, picking up 17 kills. Claxon got some help from Sidney Keslar and her 34 assists. Keslar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
South Webster's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Looking ahead, South Webster will take on Northwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adena, they will square off against Unioto at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Shermans will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
