Central's last matchup with Mattanawcook could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Wednesday. The Red Devils lost 11-0 to the Lynx. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Red Devils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Orono made sure to put some runs up on the board against George Stevens Academy on Wednesday. Jillian Severance made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. In other batting news, Andrea Crocker and Cara Dreher did most of the damage at the plate: Crocker went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI, while Dreher went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Dreher's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aria Porter, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Orono always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as George Stevens Academy only posted an OBP of .350.
