For the second straight game, Clovis will face off against Clovis West. The Cougars will venture away from home to challenge the Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Clovis came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Clovis West by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Golden Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

For Clovis West's part, Andrew Griffin looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave Griffin a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
