Football Recap: St. Cecilia Takes a Loss

St. Cecilia fell victim to Bishop Neumann and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Cavaliers, falling 43-0. While losing is never fun, the Bluehawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 18th).

Collin Greenquist threw for 36 yards on five of 20 attempts.

St. Cecilia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Bishop Neumann, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Cecilia will venture away from home to square off against Wood River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Bluehawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Bishop Neumann, they will head out on the road to take on Palmyra at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
