Basketball Recap: Edgewood Skates Past Summit Leadership Academy with Ease

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Edgewood walked away with it. They really took it to the Summit Leadership Academy EAGLES for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-25 victory. The score was close at the half, but the Lions pulled away in the second half with 35 points.

Despite the loss, Summit Leadership Academy still got an impressive performance from DayDay Hilt, who posted 15 points. That was a full 60% of Summit Leadership Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row Hilt has had more than a third of the team's points. Dominic Morgan was another key player, putting up seven points.

Edgewood has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-16 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.7 points. Summit Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Edgewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-53 defeat against Rosemead on the 18th. Summit Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
