Baseball Recap: Skyline Spartans vs. Eastlake Wolves

Skyline's last matchup with Eastlake could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Friday. The Spartans came up short against the Wolves, falling 8-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 back in March.

Skyline saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Bartholomae, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

This is the second loss in a row for Skyline and nudges their season record down to 7-8. As for Eastlake, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Skyline is set to challenge their familiar foe Woodinville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Eastlake will face off against rival Newport - Bellevue at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
