Baseball Recap: Leuzinger Comes Up Short

After flying high against Morningside on Tuesday, Leuzinger came back down to earth. The Olympians fell just short of the Serra Cavaliers by a score of 4-3 on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Olympians of the 17-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2017.

The defeat snapped Leuzinger's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-4 record. As for Serra, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Leuzinger will venture away from home to take on Morningside at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Olympians are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for Serra, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Paul at 3:15 p.m. on the 24th.
