Baseball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

New Hope and West Morgan squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but New Hope had to settle for second. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rebels. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rebels earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Andrew Dudley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run. Dawson Cambron was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

New Hope has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-16 record this season. As for West Morgan, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-14.

While New Hope had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
