Tonopah strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Indian Springs Thunderbirds 72-14. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Muckers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Dustin Otteson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 142 yards and two scores on only eight carries, while also throwing for 94 yards and four touchdowns while completing 88.9% of his passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 58 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Adelaido Salgado, who gained 99 total yards and three touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tonopah was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 281 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 269 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Tonopah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Otteson. Otteson is also crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 116 every time he's taken the field this season.

Tonopah's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Indian Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tonopah will head out to face off against Pahranagat Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 9.6 points per game this season, so the Muckers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Indian Springs, they are taking a road trip to square off against Beatty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunderbirds will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
