The Inglemoor Vikings will head out to challenge the North Creek Jaguars at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Inglemoor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Inglemoor took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Mercer Island as they made off with an 11-1 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Vikings needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Henry Kresken spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits. Those hits were his first of the season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braedan Howe, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Inglemoor is undefeated when Howe posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Benjamin Koppes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when North Creek duked it out with Mount Si on Monday. The Jaguars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Wildcats. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Jack Cochran tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, North Creek saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cayden Christopherson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. That's the most hits Christopherson has posted since back in May of 2024.
Inglemoor's record is now 7-4. As for North Creek, their record now sits at an identical 7-4.
North Creek's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Inglemoor has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .453. It's a different story for North Creek, though, as they've only averaged .340. Will they be able to contain Inglemoor's hitters?
Inglemoor couldn't quite finish off North Creek in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
